On April 14, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU successfully completed the 2nd (University) round of the research work competition. This stage brought together the best representatives of student research, selected at the departmental level, and became an important platform for demonstrating their scientific potential. The Department of Internal Medicine presented six research papers by undergraduate students and interns, under the supervision of Assistant Professor L.K. Tukayeva, who is in charge of the research work competition.

A total of 32 research papers were presented in the 2nd round of the research work competition. Participants presented the results of their own research on current issues in clinical and experimental medicine. The papers were evaluated by an expert committee.

Results of the 2nd round of the research work competition:

1st place – diploma, 6th-year interns, supervisor M.O. Tokbulatova

2nd place – diploma, 6th-year interns, supervisor L.K. Tukayeva

3rd place – diplomas: undergraduate students, interns, scientific advisers S.U. Umarova and A.K. Izhanova. The best projects were recommended for participation in the national stage of the competition. Conducting the second round of the research project contributes to the development of students’ research competencies, the formation of clinical thinking, and an increased interest in scientific activity.
