The main subjects are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modern diagnostics and treatment of surgical diseases in the chest and abdominal cavity,<\/li>\n<li>Treatment of socially important diseases in surgery,<\/li>\n<li>Introduction of innovative methods in treatment of the surgical infection and adhesive disease.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Annually professors of department publish up to 50 articles and theses, participate in conferences of different levels. Within the last 5 years the staff of the department has taken out 10 innovative patents.<\/p>\n<p>For the last 13 years at the department 6 doctor&#8217;s and 12 master&#8217;s theses were defended.<\/p>\n<p>In anniversary year 2010 the department has held the International Conference &#8220;Topical Issues of Purulent Surgery&#8221; with release of the collection of articles.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 the department has held the &#8220;New Technologies in Surgery for Practical Health Care&#8221; conference.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013 the department has held the &#8220;New Technologies in Surgery and Traumatology&#8221; conference.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 to 80-year Anniversary of department and the 125th anniversary of S.D. Asfendiyarov have held the International scientific and practical conference &#8220;Current Trends in Development of Surgery&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016 it has held in the city scientific and practical conference &#8220;Modern Aspects of Treatment of Purulent Complications of Diabetic Foot \u00a0Syndrome&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>From the moment of the department\u2019s formation the scientific student association works. Annually students who want to devote life to surgery participate in work of the association (circle). Today about 30 students from different faculties participate in work of the association.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010 the department has prepared the report for student&#8217;s Day of Science. The report has undergone the second and third tours. The department has received the certificate of the participant.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013 one work was been awarded by the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in the scientific student&#8217;s conference. On the third round one work has taken the third place. The speaker of one work has received the certificate of the participant.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 students of a scientific circle there was made the report &#8220;Experimental assessment of efficiency of haemostatic medicines for an endoscopic hemostasis at gastrointestinal bleedings&#8221; at the International scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists &#8220;Integration of the student&#8217;s science into the international space&#8221; devoted to S.D. Asfendiyarov&#8217;s 125 anniversary, which has taken 1 place.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the scientific circle of the general surgery department gained the second degree Diploma and the third degree Diploma in the \u00a0XVI international scientific conference of young scientists and students, which has been taken place in the West Kazakhstan State medical university of Marat Ospanov devoted to the 25th anniversary of \u00a0the Independence.
