Tukesheva. In the 2015-2016 academic\u00a0year, Professor G.M. Kurmanova\u00a0headed\u00a0the\u00a0department.\u00a0 As a result\u00a0of\u00a0restructuring\u00a0at\u00a0KazNMU, structural\u00a0divisions \u2013 departments\/modules \u2013 were\u00a0merged\u00a0and\u00a0enlarged\u00a0in\u00a0order\u00a0to\u00a0optimise\u00a0the\u00a0educational\u00a0process\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0university. By order\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0rector\u00a0dated 3 October 2016, Sh.S. Sadykova\u00a0was\u00a0appointed\u00a0head\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0department.\u00a0 In September 2018, the\u00a0position\u00a0of\u00a0head\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0department\u00a0was\u00a0taken\u00a0by\u00a0Candidate\u00a0of Medical Sciences Sugraliev\u00a0Akhmetzhan\u00a0Begalievich.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Department <\/strong><strong>of<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Internal<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Medicine<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u2116<\/strong><strong>2<\/strong>\u00a0was\u00a0founded\u00a0in 2016 on\u00a0the\u00a0basis\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0departments:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Department of\u00a0Internship\u00a0and\u00a0Residency\u00a0in\u00a0Therapy\u00a0\u21161,\u00a0founded\u00a0in 1991 and\u00a0headed\u00a0for a long\u00a0time\u00a0by\u00a0Professor\u00a0Dulat\u00a0Seitzhanovich\u00a0Polimbetov, and\u00a0since 2013 by\u00a0Professor S.F. Berkimbaev;<\/li>\n<li>Department of\u00a0Internship\u00a0and\u00a0Residency\u00a0in\u00a0Therapy\u00a0\u21162 is\u00a0one\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0oldest\u00a0clinical\u00a0departments\u00a0at\u00a0the University, founded\u00a0in 1938 as\u00a0the Department of Hospital Therapy. From 1952 and\u00a0for\u00a0many\u00a0years, the Department of Hospital Therapy\u00a0was\u00a0headed\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0first\u00a0woman \u2013 a Kazakh\u00a0woman\u00a0who\u00a0became a professor, therapist \u2013 Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honoured Scientist of\u00a0the\u00a0Kazakh SSR Satpaeva\u00a0Raihan\u00a0Abikeevna. Since 2003, the\u00a0department\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0headed\u00a0by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor N.E. Aidargalieva.<\/li>\n<li>Department of\u00a0Internship\u00a0and\u00a0Residency\u00a0in\u00a0Therapy\u00a0\u21163. The department\u00a0was\u00a0established\u00a0in 1980 as\u00a0the Department of Hospital Therapy\u00a0\u21162. Until 2012, the\u00a0department\u00a0was\u00a0headed\u00a0by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honoured Scientist of Kazakhstan, Dauletbakova\u00a0Maryam\u00a0Ilyasovna.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Since 2012, the\u00a0department\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0headed\u00a0by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Physician-Therapist\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Highest\u00a0Category, \u2018Honoured\u00a0Worker\u00a0of Health Care of\u00a0the Republic of Kazakhstan\u2019 \u2014 Iskakov\u00a0Baurzhan\u00a0Samikovich;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Department <\/strong><strong>of<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Internal<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Medicine<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u2116<\/strong><strong>3 <\/strong>was established in 2016 on the basis of the Department of Internship and Residency No. 2, the Departments of Nephrology, Sports Medicine, and Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics. Since its establishment, the department has been headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Aidargalieva N.E., and since 2018 by Candidate of Medical Sciences Mashkunova Olga Vasilievna.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Head of\u00a0the Department of\u00a0Internal\u00a0Medicine, Professor, member\u00a0of\u00a0the European Society of\u00a0Cardiology\u00a0Working Group on\u00a0Thrombosis, member\u00a0of\u00a0the EOC Working Group on Heart Failure, <strong>Sugraliev<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Akhmetzhan<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Begalievich<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the\u00a0department\u00a0consists\u00a0of<strong> 5 <\/strong><strong>professors<\/strong><strong>, 11 <\/strong><strong>associate<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>professors<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>and<\/strong><strong> 9 <\/strong><strong>assistants<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The department\u00a0has<strong> 9 <\/strong><strong>main<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>clinical<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>bases<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>which\u00a0are\u00a0leading\u00a0large\u00a0multidisciplinary\u00a0clinics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>City Cardiology Centre<\/li>\n<li>City Emergency Hospital<\/li>\n<li>Research Institute of\u00a0Cardiology\u00a0and\u00a0Internal\u00a0Medicine<\/li>\n<li>City Clinical Hospital No. 7<\/li>\n<li>City Clinical Hospital No. 4<\/li>\n<li>Central City Clinical Hospital<\/li>\n<li>Almaty\u00a0Multidisciplinary\u00a0Clinical Hospital<\/li>\n<li>City Clinical Hospital No. 1<\/li>\n<li>City Clinical Hospital No. 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The department\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0and\u00a0remains\u00a0one\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0leading\u00a0methodological\u00a0centres\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0professional\u00a0training\u00a0of\u00a0doctors.
