The Department of Gastroenterology was organized at KazNMU named after S. D. Asfendiyarov on September 2, 2019 (earlier, since 2013 – the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology with a course of endoscopy at the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
