On November 3, 2025, Suleimenova A.Zh., assistant of the S.R. Karynbaev Department of Normal Anatomy, along with students from the OM 24-050 curatorial group specializing in General Medicine, visited the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology at the National Academy of Sciences.

The purpose of this expedition was to introduce students to interesting exhibits and archaeological finds of animal life in Kazakhstan.

The main focus is on archaeological finds: dinosaur skeletons and fossilized remains, many dating back to the Jurassic period. The second hall is dedicated to zoology, highlighting the true diversity of these latitudes.

The room is divided into two sections. They permanently display two collections: one tells the story of the past, and the other of the present. Both halls were visited, with the highlight being the giant rhinoceros, which opened a whole new world of research. Further on are dinosaur bones from the Jurassic period, fossils of ancient animals, and the remains of enormous wild boars.

Thus, the students not only became familiar with interesting exhibits and archaeological finds of Kazakhstan’s fauna, but were also impressed by the fascinating archaeological finds they saw.
