Scientific research activities

Research activities of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №1

The research activity of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №1 is one of the priority areas of work and is organically integrated into educational and clinical processes. The department carries out scientific research aimed at solving urgent problems of modern anesthesiology, intensive care and intensive care, improving the quality and safety of medical care, as well as the introduction of modern technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of critical conditions.

The scientific activity of the department is conducted in accordance with the priority directions of the development of medical science and practice, taking into account modern international approaches and principles of evidence-based medicine. The faculty of the department, doctoral students, interns and students are actively involved in research work, which contributes to the formation of sustainable scientific potential and continuity of scientific research.

The main directions of scientific research

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №1 conducts scientific research covering a wide range of topical issues of anesthesiology and intensive care. Special attention is paid to the issues of respiratory support for patients in critical conditions, improvement of intensive care methods, as well as improving the safety of anesthetic support for high-tech medical interventions.

Scientific research is focused on practical healthcare and is aimed at developing and implementing modern diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms that help improve clinical outcomes and reduce the risk of complications.

Training of scientific personnel

An important area of the department’s research activity is the training of highly qualified scientific and scientific teaching staff. Currently, three doctoral students are studying at the department, performing scientific research in relevant areas of anesthesiology and intensive care.

The scientific supervisor of all doctoral students is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.K. Israilova.

M.M. Mirsaliev’s doctoral dissertation on the topic has been prepared for defense.:

«Features of respiratory support in patients with pneumonia in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic».

The study is devoted to the study and optimization of respiratory support methods in patients with severe forms of pneumonia and has high scientific and practical significance.

Two doctoral students are also studying at the department:

  • Kozhamberdieva D.A., PhD thesis topic:

«Tactics of effective respiratory support in patients with sepsis complicated by acute respiratory distress syndrome».

The work is aimed at developing optimal approaches to the management of patients with severe septic conditions and respiratory failure.

  • Rybakov G.Y., PhD thesis topic:

«Comprehensive assessment of the safety and effectiveness of anesthesiological support for patients with internal carotid artery stenting».

The study is focused on improving the safety of anesthetic care during high-risk vascular interventions.

The dissertation research topics meet the modern requirements of medical science and are of high practical importance.

Scientific activity of the teaching staff

The faculty of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №1 actively participates in research activities, publishes research results in scientific publications, and also presents them at scientific events of various levels.

Teachers of the department regularly participate in international and national scientific and practical conferences, congresses, symposiums and round tables where modern achievements and prospects of development of anesthesiology and intensive care medicine are discussed. Participation in scientific forums promotes the exchange of experience, the expansion of scientific cooperation and the introduction of modern clinical approaches into practice.

Integration of science, education and clinical practice

The research activity of the department is closely related to the educational process and clinical practice. The results of scientific research are used in educational programs, implemented in the practical activities of clinical bases and serve as the basis for further scientific developments.

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit No. 1 consistently develops its scientific potential, strengthens its staff and creates conditions for conducting fundamental and applied research aimed at improving the medical care system and training highly qualified specialists.
