Every year the staff of the department conducts advisory and outpatient receptions of more than 2500 children, charitable actions for the Children’s Day. In practical public health, on the basis of scientific researches of the department, new methods of treatment of acute respiratory diseases, methods of diagnostics and treatment of diselementosis in children of early and preschool age were introduced. In 2014, the staff of the department developed a clinical protocol on pediatrics of the Republican Center for Health Development of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Regularly held thematic seminars and master classes with the participation of professors from the near abroad countries (academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor N. P. Shabalov, Professor MV Erman (St. Petersburg), Professor LS Namazova-Baranova (Moscow), Professor Shamsiev FS (Uzbekistan). Within the framework of the city “School of Precinct Physicians”, seminars, round tables, conferences, lectures for doctors on topical issues of pediatrics.
