The educational and methodological work of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №1 is one of the priority areas of activity and is aimed at ensuring high-quality educational process within the framework of ongoing educational programs. The educational and methodological activities of the department are carried out in accordance with the state mandatory standards of education, approved curricula and regulatory documents of the university, as well as taking into account modern requirements of medical education and practical healthcare.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit No. 1 implements the educational programs “General Medicine” and “Medicine”. Within the framework of these educational programs, students of the 5th year of bachelor’s degree and interns study. The educational process is organized taking into account the stages of training of future doctors and is aimed at the formation of professional competencies, clinical thinking and practical skills necessary for carrying out medical activities in the field of anesthesiology, intensive care and intensive care.
The department provides teaching of the disciplines “Fundamentals of Anesthesiology, Intensive care, intensive care”, “Observational clinical research in therapy”, as well as the disciplines “Scientific project: Social determinants of health in therapy”. The content of these disciplines is focused on students learning modern principles of anesthesiological care and intensive care, developing skills in analyzing clinical data, as well as developing research thinking and understanding the impact of social factors on public health.
Syllabuses, working curricula, instrumentation and evaluation materials have been developed, reviewed and approved in accordance with the established procedure for all subjects taught at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit No. 1. The educational and methodological documentation meets the requirements of educational programs and provides a unified approach to the organization of the educational process, conducting current, boundary and final control of students’ and interns’ knowledge. The control and measuring tools are designed taking into account the expected learning outcomes and allow an objective assessment of the level of mastering theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The training sessions at the department are conducted using modern educational technologies and teaching methods, including lectures and practical exercises, clinical reviews, situational task analysis and independent work of students under the guidance of a teacher. Special attention is paid to the practical orientation of training, the development of algorithms for emergency medical care and the formation of clinical thinking in conditions as close as possible to real professional activity.
The teaching staff of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit No. 1 systematically works to improve the educational and methodological support of disciplines, updates educational materials taking into account modern scientific data, clinical recommendations and achievements of evidence-based medicine. Teachers of the department actively participate in the development and updating of educational and methodological complexes of disciplines, introduce innovative forms and methods of teaching aimed at improving the effectiveness of the educational process.
As part of the educational and methodological work, regular analysis of learning outcomes, monitoring of the quality of mastering disciplines, as well as taking into account feedback from students and interns. This makes it possible to adjust the content and forms of education in a timely manner, to ensure that the educational process meets modern requirements and expectations of practical healthcare.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit No. 1 creates the necessary educational and methodological conditions for the successful development of the educational programs “General Medicine” and “Medicine”, providing a high level of training for 5th year undergraduate students and interns and the formation of their professional competencies necessary for further medical practice.
